I am travelling to Armenia, Georgia and Aserbejdschan. I am kindly invited to hold a lecture and artist talk at the "Armenian Center for Contemporary and Experimentel Art" in Yerevan and I hope to make a lot of new contacts among the art scene there. See about their activities on: www.accea.info. Thanks a lot to artist Linda Ganjian from New Jersey / New York who connected me to the people in Yerevan and all the artists and officials in Yerevan themselves, who invited me so friendly. Also on the schedule is the production of some completely new works, maybe stagings... but one never knows, where art leads you. This is going to be a fun trip!

I am participating in another group exhibition: "Everybody Learns from Desaster". This time I present a video installation with two screens.

Again I am exhibiting: 14 large works in a solo show "Von Helden und Narren" (About heroes and fools) on 350 sqm at "Freispiel Brandshof" in Hamburg, a large industrial space close to the new "HafenCity" cultural area. The show is curated by Philipp Koch (Berlin / Hamburg). I am showing paintings and analogue, staged photographs in large scales. The show takes place together with artist Irma Markulin (Berlin). 2010.06.25. - 27.
I am exhibiting four new works "Places with Connection" at "48 Stunden Neukölln" in Berlin. A group show of contemporary photography in the big hall of the former Kindl-brewery. This year app. 1500 visitors found the way into the exhibition during this weekend of open galleries, artspaces, theaters and museums in the district of Neukölln. See one of the images "Golgatha" below, it´s taken in Transilvania, Romania in 2008.

There were more than 120 people at the opening, the following artists from Armenia, Iran, USA and Germany participated:
Sally Busse, Bruno Dorn, Boris Duhm, Sven Eggers, Roham Fayazi, Linda Ganjian, Amirali Ghasemi, Udo Lindemann, Dodi Reifenberg, Michael Schäfer, Erik Schiemann.
The author Philipp Koch and the musician Rainer Philippi made a play reading at the opening. I were curating the show again.

2010.05.10, 7 p.m.: Opening of exhibition Neosakral - Saalkrone.
I am curating this first show at our new room for art-work and exhibitions Berber 1. The show is on 83 sqare meters in central Berlin.

In the evening the pianist Karine Gilanyan and the tenor Richard Nordemalm are presenting some of the finest pieces from their repertoire.

01.Mai 2010: All the house of Bergener Strasse 1 protests against the gathering of app. 400 new national socialists down the street. We paint a large bed sheet in Berber 1 and hang it from the balkony:
BERLIN GEGEN NAZIS! A photo of of us on the balcony is shown in newspapers all over Germany.
April 2010: sold one framed photograph to a privat collector in Oldenburg, Germany: "Jan Vermeer - Day".
15.04.2010:
Finally I got the contract for our new studio BERBER 1 in Bergener Str. 1 in 10439 Berlin / Prenzlauer Berg. It´s going to be a showroom for art and working space as well. Still we are into renovating.
01.03.2010:
Working in my Berlin studio all days and nights with NEW PAINTINGS (see them here). My fingers wouldn´t get clean any more, but productivity is not the worst...
13.12.2009:
The opening of the exhibition "Works" with curator Philipp Koch in Berlin just took place at the ACUD Gallery in Berlin Mitte. I showed seven completely new Alchemigrams. A cosy evening with eight European artists...
November 2009:
I got a two years working grant from the Swedish Artist Council in Stockholm. Yeah! Time for celebrating with my dear girlfriend...
